Do you make all of the candles in your store?

Yes, I do! Every single candle you see in the store is lovingly hand-poured by me! I test and choose the wax type, develop the fragrance collection, set every wick, print & place each label, and pour each candle into the selected vessel. Everything from start to finish is done in small batches (I’ll talk more about this process in a later post) in the Wax Lab, ensuring a personal touch in every candle :)

What kind of wax do you use in your candles?

All candles are poured using a natural, luxurious blend of coconut apricot wax. Coconut wax burns at a cooler temperature than soy wax, resulting in a more even and slower burn. This wax is known for its cleaner burn, excellent scent throw, and sustainable properties.

How long should I burn my candle for the first time?

The "first burn" of a candle can be crucial. As a rule of thumb, you want to burn your candle at least one hour per inch of container diameter. This usually takes 2-4 hours, depending on the candle size. This will help prevent "tunneling" and ensures an even burn for the life of your candle!

What kind of wicks do you use?

Our candles feature a flat braid core wick made from textile-grade cotton. These wicks are designed to burn “cooler” and promote a slower, cleaner burn by minimizing the amount of “mushrooming” from carbon buildup. I have tested many wick collections and carefully select these wick as they provide a clean, and even burn for optimal fragrance diffusion.

Are your fragrances natural?

I use a blend of high-quality, phthalate and paraben free fragrance oils that are specifically designed for candles and are rigorously tested for safety and performance.
